Coffee houses began appearing in the late 1600's in England. The evolution of Jonathan's Coffee House included posting of local stock prices, thus planting the seeds of what was to become the London Stock Exchange, "Change" Alley was a colloquialism for "Exchange" Alley...or the alley that evolved into the London Stock Exchange still in full operation today.
By the mid-1700's, the coffee house had become the hub of business and politics. It was in an establishment much like this that Benjamin Franklin met with Filippo Mazzei about the potential trade of wood stoves into Europe. Before long, Mazzei and Franklin had struck a business deal with other Colonial leaders such as Thomas Jefferson to bring Italian horticulture to the Colonies.
It is said that some of Mazzei's ideas on government were included in what became the framing principles of our country, through his alliance with many of our founding fathers. It is to the coffee house that we owe the beginnings of this culture of coffee, business, and politics which we celebrate today at Change Alley in Las Vegas.

Our CoffeeToday we roast our beans to exacting standards right here in Las Vegas. Our beans come from selected growers in the finest coffee plantations around the globe. Visit our shopping pages to find your favorite, or even special order your very own blend.
When you purchase coffee from Change Alley, we suggest that you keep your beans in the freezer until you are ready to grind them. Only grind as many beans as you'll be using within a very short time, as the longer the beans are ground, the more flavor can escape the grounds.
We suggest using the steam injection method of extracting your shots of espresso, but any machine or press will benefit from the exceptional quality in our beans.
